Titan Krios Scheduling
User who want to collect data on the Titan Krios should submit a request to the head of CEMK.
The scheduling process involves 4 steps:
- User contacts a Titan operator (ScopeM, hub scientist or group Titan operator).
- The User and the Titan operator discuss the experiment and the Titan operator submits a Download request (DOCX, 26 KB) to the CEMK head with information on the target number of tomograms/images via this external page link.
- The head of CEMK evaluates the request for technical feasibility and enters it in the sign-up list.
- Krios time is then schedule by CEMK head in collaboration with Titan operators in scheduling meetings for scheduling periods of 4-5 weeks.
The dates of the scheduling meetings are communicated to the Titan operators via email.
The following rules apply for the schedule:
- The number of sessions is limited to one per user in each scheduling period
- A scheduling period should not exceed 4-5 weeks. If the time requested in the sign-up list exceeds this limit, the session length is reduced proportionally.
Background: As of Nov 1, 2019, the Schulleitung does not allow anymore bag times of Krios access for entire groups instead each user needs to submit a request according to the Download new access rules (PDF, 300 KB).
