Method developments

Despite the recent technological and methodological advances, cryo-EM analysis of complex proteins is not yet a routine, and the analysis of the tricky proteins may take months or even years.

All the stages of the structure determination pipeline starting from the protein purification and the specimen preparation up to the data collection and processing contribute to the final result, therefore their optimisation may play a pivotal role in solving the structure. Each protein behaves differently and the cryo-EM pipeline should be tailored accordingly. We are interested in the development and implementation of the novel methodologies and tools for faster and more efficient cryo-EM analysis.
