Workshops
November 7-8th 2023 - Workshop on single particle analysis - CryoSPARC
In this workshop we will reconstruct the structure of the yeast ribosome from cryo-EM images. The program will cover all steps of processing using the cryoSPARC software, from initial alignment of movie frames to 3D classification. The workshop will be held in a computer room at Hoenggerberg campus from 9.30 to approx. 16.30.
Please apply until Friday Ocotober 27th using the link below (max 8 participants):

Topics:
• Movie frame motion correction
• Particle picking with TOPAZ
• 3D initial model generation
• 3D refinement to near atomic resolution
• 3D classification
Past Workshops:
April 3rd 2023 - Tutorial cryoEM of helical filaments
I would like to announce a introductory tutorial on single particle analysis of helical filaments. As an example we will use the reconstruction of royal jelly filaments in RELION (Mattei et al. Nat Commun. 11:6267, 2020). The tutorial will take place on Monday April 3rd, 9:00-16:30 in the computer room HPV F7.1.
This course is free of charge for users from ETH DBIOL groups.
Please apply until Friday March 24th using the link below (max 10 participants):

November 2-3th 2022 - Workshop on single particle analysis
In this workshop we will reconstruct the structure of the yeast ribosome from cryo-EM images. The program will cover all steps of processing using the Relion 4 software, from initial alignment of movie frames to 3D classification. We will use computers in the newly setup computer room at Hoenggerberg campus.
Registration for the workshop has ended.
This workshop will be given by CEMK members, Daniel Boehringer, Pavel Afanasyev, and Julius Rabl.
Topics:
• Movie frame motion correction
• Particle picking with TOPAZ
• 3D initial model generation
• 3D refinement to near atomic resolution
• 3D classification
Registered participants meet for the workshop on November 2nd 9.30 at the computer room HPV F 7.
