Improvement of peripherally-bound protein alignments through focused 3D refinements

In the talk, I will first give two concise examples on how we used focused 3D refinements, in combination with signal subtraction, to improve the alignment of peripherally-bound proteins to large complexes such as the ribosome. I will end with a third example on our more recent result of the proteasome regulator complex.
